Putting Your Dollars To Work The Wilson Research Foundation puts your dollars to work to help restore function and improve lives at Methodist Rehabilitation Center.
The Foundation supports:
Research and Education
A team of physician-scientists at the Center for Neuroscience and Neurological Recovery at Methodist Rehabilitation Center translate basic neuroscience research into useful therapies that benefit patients suffering from neurological illnesses and injuries.
By building on the hospital’s reputation and strong commitment to research, this team is able to quickly move research findings from the laboratory to the patient’s bedside, thus bridging the gap between biomedical discoveries and their clinical application.
Outreach and Community Programs
Sports and recreation, housing for the physically disabled, and chaplaincy
Patient Care Fund
Hotel rooms for needy families from out of town whose loved one is a patient at Methodist Rehab, essential equipment such as wheelchairs or ramps, and general support for patients in need of care who have no other funding source (for example, those who’ve exhausted all Medicaid in-patient benefits for that year.)
Facilities and Equipment
Equipment to restore and enable function for our residents of the Methodist Specialty Care Center, research-related equipment needs in the Center for Neuroscience and Neurological Recovery, conference center, etc.
